The Daily Herald Pics

This is the picture that could have made the front page of the paper. (Photo from obscure on-line Daily Herald archives that no one can find in real life.)

And, this is the picture that did make the front page of the newspaper today.

No story, no description of the excitement and pageantry, no quotes of the toast. Just the mention that Emily and Keva (pictured above) drank "mock-tails" and had a photo op with a cardboard Obama.

Maybe I should have bought that Herald reporter a couple of mock-tails. Maybe he needed to take a spin on the dance floor with Emily and Keva. All I know is he needed something to loosen him up. I think it just wasn't his crowd. Funny how the media works -- or not.

I vote for this picture on the front page of the newspaper. That's the beautiful and talented Mr. & Mrs. Robert and Nancy Wilberg Ricks . . . and the President of the United States of America. Of course I'm not biased when it comes to pictures ;).
