My friend Zendina makes these (above) and these (below).

The word on the street is she is working on a new round of scrumptious morsels. This time it's a boy -- James Jr. is due in February. Congrats! (I am sure she is going to come up with a much better name than little Jimmy. She never disappoints in that category.)

Now for something completely different ... My other friend, Daniel (of the Bombay House), is a LDS movie producer. He was behind Pride and Prejudice -- LDS version. Last week Marco brought home his newest, Anxiously Engaged. I have to say I really didn't hate it. Of course it is 100% predictable, but it had some nice moments and even a groovy 70's feel to it that made it slightly less sacrine. But it was not the movie that caught my eye. Look what Blockbuster put on every copy of Daniel's movie.

It is a parental warning sticker! His movie is listed as a "Youth Restricted Product" like Halo II or HBO's Big Love. I have seen the movie and I promise there is not one thing in it that is questionable ... unless you consider overt religious practice in the form of teaching Gospel Doctrine as threatening to impressionable teens. I am determined to 1.) get to the bottom of the issue 2.) promote a film that is worthy of a Family Home Evening in any home. Has anyone else seen this film? You should go rent it tonight and then let me know what you think.

Zendina is the queen of scrumptious.
Good luck with your campaign. At the risk of sounding like a major snob, I'll admit I never go out of my way to see films from this genre. I figure they'll always come looking for me, either at a YW activity, or in a friend's home, or my in-laws will loan it to me next time I'm down with the flu. But for the sake of principle, I'd go out and rent this one. Sounds very suspicious.
I love Daniel Raj. I'll probably see this now because I know he's involved with it. He's so awesome.
geo - The movie has a couple of nice shots and I didn't find it offensive ... like anything from Duetcher.
cindy - Daniel has a camio where he is talking about hot curry.
