Happy Birthday, Xanny!!

This is an old picture of Xanny, but I love it. Below is the poem that EVERY Davis must commit to memory before passing to the other side of five.

"When I was One,
I had just begun.
When I was Two,
I was hardly new.
When I was Three,
I was barely me.
When I was Four,
I was not much more.
When I was Five,
I was just alive.
But now I am Six, I'm as clever as clever.
So I think I'll be Six now forever and ever."

Here's to another year of bad hair cuts and general scampiness. (It's a Xanny thing.) Oh, how I love you!!

Last Day to Register!!!

Today is the last day to register to vote in the November election. Just google "register to vote in Utah" (or any other state where you may live.)

Just do it!

You Write the Caption

1.) "Mom, is remodeling a genetic disease?"

2.) "Quick! Someone call Child-Protective-Services! I'm only 3 and can't dial on my own."

3.) "Let's see, do I saw the island in half with this thing or do I slit my wrists with it?"

I hope this post explains a few things, like why I never post anymore. Feel free to add your own captions. We hope it will all be back to "normal" before Halloween ... of 2012!

Foot-hell Elementary

This is quicky post, but this was just too good to pass up. BEHOLD, my child's kindergarten school picture. He loves it. He asks if he can sleep with a copy of it at night. Needless to say, I got "Rainbow Day" and "Picture Day" mixed up. Maybe I'm not cut out for this mother-of-a-kindergarten-kid thing. Good thing I have a camera of my own!

And too show just how much Xanny loves FootHILL Elementary, he drew a picture of him in front of his favorite school.

Let me translate:

  I like a school.
Foot Hell.

Pitcher Pictures

I know, three post in the entire month of September. What does that mean? Maybe I am coming out of the slump. Yesterday we cruised up the mountain to get some killer shots of my bro's fam. You gotta love a good trampoline pic. I think they may pick this one as their Christmas card this year.

I, on the other hand, would send the picture below to every person I knew if I were Karine! Did I mention my SIL was a BYU cheerleader? Yes, she gave birth to all of those flying folk above. Looks like four teenagers hasn't slowed her down much. Amazing!

Morgan flying ...

The whole fam-dam-ly ...

Guess who's a senior this year ...

We had to pull Xanny away kicking and screaming. (Well, we had to find him first in their giant house and then we pulled him away kicking and screaming.) It was a very nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Thanks, guys.

Take the A Train

Meet Brittni and Devon. They are getting married this week and have a reception in Idaho. Just curious, by a show of hands, does anyone what to drive to Rexburg with me on Saturday? (Yeah, I couldn't get Marco to go with me either.)

About Me

I avoid house work by field-tripping with my kids. I avoid my kids by blogging.
