Some families write clever holiday newsletters and others send chocolates, our family has its own marketing ploy to keep people tuning in. We just add a new person to the clan each year -- seven years, seven people. Andi, Xanny, Matt, Zina, Andrew, Rosie Jo and introducing ... Sam who will officially sign up on December 27, 2007 when he marries Katie. We really like Sam and his white python cowboy boots. He's an interesting yin to Katie's yang. We're happy Katie found such a great guy to add to our family.
For me, this last year was my official year of the blog. It all began in DC on Independence Ave. as a good way to share our Capital Hill adventures. IndependenceKids.blogspot.com opened the door to a photographic adventure that has taken on a life of its own. Pictures are a perfect combination of art and people and I have started shooting weddings and family portraits semi-professionally. Leaving Capital Hill, however, was less than picture perfect. I cried all the way to the airport. We loved living in the eye of the storm and I hope our next adventure is in the same zip code as our last adventure.
As for the little people in our house ... I think this ease-dropped conversation between Xanny (5) and Zina-Boo (3) sums it up. Zina: "Xanny, I nice. I love one another like Jesus." Xanny: "Well, I love ALL the others." Merry Christmas from our house. May the love of our Savior be with ALL the others of your house.

wow! some breathtakingly fantastic pictures! i was going to name my favorites, but the list got unmanageable.
Does this mean you like Whitney better than me and Kim.
Andi, this year of photos is so gorgeous! Have you seen the blurb website? You can have a book made.

wow Andi, you've taken some AMAZING photographs! It's a pleasure to see them. I love the one of Z. with the sweet blue dress sitting on the black chair. I also loved your parent's Christmas card. It is gorgeous! Nice work! It's a pleasure seeing your photos!
Wow Andi, I felt like I was looking through a photography book of gorgeous pictures. Great job.
Wow! Mashalla!!! A thousand Mashalla's on your photography. I could look at them again and again. You have inspired me. I am off to find the "crop" setting on my computer, I'm still a little pathetic and slightly cave womanish when it comes to being super blogger like you. Wow!
I do miss you. Had a meltdown last week, where were you? Waaahhh WAaaah!
Hey, the Simpsons should be watching YOU.
meghan - I am so glad to see you checked in on us.
Brooklyn - Can't wait to see you next week. Happy Trails.
Cindy - You are in Part Two of this list of photos but that is going to have to happen next week. Maybe I do love Whitney more. Hmmm.
Melissa - I forgot to print that one for Christmas presents. Thanks for the reminder.
Lisa - May we both shoot many many pictures this coming year.
Nadia - Mashalla to you. I just posted you Blockbuster Coupon for all the world to use.
Geo - I am hate to even admit that my kids know who the Simpson's are. Xanny calls Homer "Bad Dad."
Loved the year in review. So fun to look over the beautiful photos!
