I have search the house over and it seems I have packed my camera cable in a dark box somewhere in a truck on Independence Ave. All I have for you tonight is this random snap shop of two sisters waiting for their mother to come out of the market. At first I thought they were twins but actually they are 7 and 5 years old. This is the only picture I got of them because their mom came out and gave me glaring looks. But I think the picture is compelling and tells a story about the Hill somehow. My mind has gone round and round about raising kids on the Hill and how my kids would be shaped and molded by city living. Maybe these girls' parents have figured it out. Do they balance the small spaces with giant prices seamlessly? We are now officially no longer Hillbillies and won't have to solve these problems ... this year anyway. Hmmm, am I sensing a hint of return? I hope so --besides, I don't want to change the name of the blog.
(Special thanks to my friend, Molly, for helping me put it all back into perspective again.)
Well, maybe I lied about only having one picture to share. Here's my question ... what would you do if you were walking down the street one sunny afternoon and you look down to see your baby has fallen asleep RIGHT in front of H&M clothing store? Yeah, me too.

Hey - I know those girls! Shall I tell you about them (they're fun and interesting) or do you want to stick with your story (which is also fun and interesting)? :)
That's sort of a creepy weird photo that I'm drawn to.
I would just wander the aisles and glare at anyone who might try to bump into the stroller.
Molly - Yeah, you are right about my total sourgrapes attitude about leaving the Hill. I totally need to repent! Please tell me the story. BTW - my regular email is andipitcher@aol.com. Stay in touch.
Cindy - which creepy weird photo do you like?
that picture of the not-twins is AMAZING. there is something super super intense about it. belongs in a gallery.
Brooklyn - I kind of wanted to follow them around all day. I hope Molly tells me the real story soon.
I too am drawn to that "creepy weird" photo. I love the colors and the glares and the oddness. I am amazed at your ability to find the beautiful pictures waiting to be stored in a digital format.
