Kershisnikesque

Do you remember that first time you had peanut butter straight up out of the jar? Last week while vacationing in Eden, we stopped for lunch at the library. Now, if you are a boy, and very nearly 5 years old, and vacationing literally in Eden ... what would be your greatest temptation? For Xanny it was the knife I left sticking out of the peanut butter jar. I turned my back for one second to grab a camera and watched my boy fall into a mortal state of bliss.

The result is a kershisnikesque dance of earthly delights.

I like those pants.

Don't you have several pairs of brown cords, Cindy? (This picture would be an easy Scherenschnitte, wouldn't it?)

Where is Eden I thought? Thanks to Google... I discovered it was not this side of Paradise but next to Huntsville...hmmmm. Speaking of first time pure peanut butter experiences...I remember the glee as a child giving our dog spoonfulls of peanut butter to see him get it off the roof of his mouth....don't let any animal rights activists see this!

Nice knife dance. My kids love to hold any sort of knife too, even just a butter knife.

I LOVE this blog. Xanny will have great memories of that trip all because you left the knife in the PB jar. By the way...Did you make an offer on the town of Huntsville while you were there? It's for sale you know. Does the broken arm have a hard cast yet? I want to sign it.

Carolyn - But Hunstville is East of Eden which will be my post tomorrow.

Melissa - Does this mean our children are going to join the circus one day?

Bertie - The cast is still soft due to the swelling. I hope by Halloween he will have a real cast.

Adams Natural straight from the jar can sometimes me go all Kershisnik too.

The cast is a lovely touch.

Geo - I think I might send this picture to Mr. Kershisnik. Actually, I should just do a painting of it myself but that's not going to happen.

I think he would really appreciate the special touches—cast, peanut butter knife. Maybe we'll start seeing those in his canvases.
