Today Marco took the kids on many adventures. They went to a Colonial Farm in Maryland and then on the Great Falls where Xan learned all about the Dangers of the Potomac. He is expecially facinated with the undertow which he calls the "Hunder Toad", like it is a monster from the bottom of the river. I recommend that you click on the above picture to see just what you should and should not do if you decide to swim in major water falls.

A couple of days ago Marco surprised us all with his new latest and greatest Marine haircut. He has been adventurous several times before trying different niche barbers. (Make that different Barbers of Seville.) I will let him tell the story someday himself. Short version (no pun intended) is that we live just blocks from the Marine Barracks. One very hot afternoon Marco biked past the barber shop across the street and thought, "Wow, cheap and cool? Perfect!" Thirty seconds and one #2 razor later, he walked out a happy man. I have never seen him with hair this short. It reminds me of his 3rd grade class pictures - I like it.

Look who else got a haircut, MISHA! Many of you will remember Misha from Becca and Matt's wedding and the magic moment with a large plush seal puppet. (He "sealed" Matt and Becca during their wedding lunch.) He introduces himself as the official Davis family non-member, pagan, gay but speaks "Marmon" friend. He and lives here in DC - but not for long. In about two weeks he is headed to Iowa to pursue a PhD in bassoon performance. (Yes, I said BASSOON! Who knew?) Good luck, Misha.
That is a rough cut of our week. Tonight is Sunday and you know what that means. It's the official "I think I will drop Katie Davis a letter" day. Just send email to tesserkate@gmail.com. Just click and write. You know you will feel better as soon as you hit the send button. (Hi Katie-bell. We love you.)
