Mt. Vernon

Today's fieldtrip was to Mount Vernon - home to George Washington. Unfortunately I am too tired to tell you any more so enjoy some pictures and make up your own captions.
Outside of the house.
Inside of the house. (Actually it is the inside of a miniature model of Mt. Vernon. These chairs really are just st two inches tall.)

Lots of beautiful Magnolias. These have long been my favorite flower. In Houston we had a tree just out side our door. They smell like lemons.

Baby Nina in the orangerie.

(I threw this picture in for Shauna. Hey Bertie, this is a dress from one of the docents that was running around playing a grandkid. Click on the picture to see details. It is super simple but pretty on a willowy 12 year old. I want to know if I can commission one for Babes.)
