Today Marco and I spoke at Brother Winston's baptism. All day Xanny ran around telling our very non-mormon neighbors that a old man was getting baptized today. Our chapel (a Safeway building in it's former life) does not have a font so we headed out to the Anacostia chapel that has the fount to end ALL founts.

This is the font in Anacostia. This church was a Baptist revival church in its previous life. The fount is located IN the chapel behind the pulpit and is 5 feet deep, 10 feet wide. There are three mirrors so the congregation can see from their seats. I think large mass baptism services were the norm with the previous owner of this church. Now you're jealous your chapel doesn't have one of these.

Xanny asked that I post this picture today. (This how the kids passed their time during the baptism.) He calls it his FAST pic. Zina Boo stands "out of our way" at the bottom of the hill. I have had this dress for two years and today is the first day it fits. OK - I need a life.
This is NOT the Anacostia ward building but is just down the street. It's about 2 miles from our house. The old Episcipalian church is now Muhammad Mosque #4 and if you can make to DC by Sunday, you can see Frank Farrakhan live for FREE! I love this city.
(BTW- I couldn't get Marco to stop the car so I could buy a pie from the bake sale they were throwing to raise money for Farrakhan.)
