Tour of the Capital

Guess what we finally we did today - we finally toured the inside of the Capital. Atop is Lady Freedom facing east toward our house. She faces east for all the typical "east" reasons, one of which is so the sun will never set on her.

Our friend Kristen is a tour guide there and took us on the special edition VIP tour.

and below we have King Kamehameha - the first king of Hawaii. Oh yeah, did I mention we are ALL going to Hawaii tomorrow? Two kids and a 15 hour plane ride. I go now to pack and pray for strength. We will see you on the island!
