National Portrait Gallery

One of my favorite DC art fixes is the National Portrait Gallery. Above we have the preamble of the Constitution done on all 50 state's licence plates. See if you can read it.

Cindy in a Pre Raphaelite fog. It is a dream with in a dream.

Kim's favorite painting.

I love this early American folk painting. Notice how the docile look child destroys the books, knocks over the furniture and cuts her mother's ribbons to shreds. Anything it takes for her mother to get 15 extra minutes to do something creative by herself.

We had to memorize the preamble to the constitution in 6th grade. Our teacher would sing it to us with the tune of some Wisconsin fight song. Great to see it in license plates.

I will have to see if they have a poster of it for you.
